Tips for Best Voice Conversion Quality
Quick, actionable tips to make every conversion sound great.
Record in a Quiet Environment
Background noise is the number one cause of poor voice conversions. Use a quiet room, close windows, and turn off fans or AC units. Even a closet full of clothes makes an excellent makeshift recording booth.
Use a Decent Microphone
You do not need a studio mic, but avoid laptop built-in microphones when possible. A phone headset, USB microphone, or gaming headset all produce significantly better input audio for the AI to work with.
Keep Clips Under 2 Minutes
Shorter audio clips convert faster and produce more consistent results. If you have a longer recording, split it into segments. This also lets you apply different voices to different sections.
Choose a Similar Voice Pitch Range
The AI produces the most natural results when the source and target voices are in a similar pitch range. A deep male voice converting to another deep male voice will sound better than converting to a high-pitched female voice.
Use Balanced Mode for Everyday Conversions
Fast mode is fine for quick previews, but Balanced mode hits the sweet spot between speed and quality. Save Best Quality mode for final renders and important projects.
Upload WAV or High-Quality MP3 Files
The AI works best with high-quality source audio. WAV files preserve full audio fidelity. If using MP3, aim for 192 kbps or higher. Avoid heavily compressed audio from voice messages or low-quality recordings.
